Returns and Exchanges: The Black Dog Guarantee

 

We accept returns for merchandise purchased at The Black Dog Retail Stores or through theblackdog.com only. We will gladly accept your return/exchange of new, unused, or defective merchandise with proof of purchase and merchandise tags still attached within 60 days of purchase. Returns accompanied by valid proof of purchase will be credited to you within 60 days. Proof of purchase may be confirmed with a receipt or by locating the transaction in a Red Collar Rewards account. For purchases made in-store, the return window begins on the date of purchase.  For purchases made online, the return window begins on the date the goods are shipped. We do not accept returns on final sale/last chance, perishable, gift card, or third-party sale merchandise.  

MERCHANDISE PURCHASED AT A GENERAL STORE: You may return or exchange merchandise purchased from a Black Dog General Store to any Black Dog General Store, Outlet Store, or Customer Service Center.   

MERCHANDISE PURCHASED AT AN OUTLET STORE:   You may only return/exchange merchandise purchased from a Black Dog Outlet Store at an Black Dog Outlet Store or our Customer Service Center. For online exchanges, please return the item you wish to exchange and place a new order for a replacement item. 

MERCHANDISE PURCHASED AT A THEBLACKDOG.COM: Online purchases can only be returned to our Customer Service Center in accordance with our above mentioned return policy. For online exchanges, please return the item you wish to exchange and place a new order for a replacement item.  The Black Dog is not responsible for the shipping costs of returns or exchanges sent to the Customer Service Center. Shipping fees are non-refundable. For any questions or concerns, call our Customer Service Center at 1-800-626-1991,  Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm EST.  

Returns made for products over the established grace period may be accepted at the discretion of The Black Dog.  

The Black Dog reserves the right to review and modify this return policy at its discretion.   

To Get Started:

  • Complete the Return/Exchange Form found here or inside your shipment.
  • Secure merchandise in the original packaging, if available, and enclose the completed form.
  • Return the item(s) to: The Black Dog, Attn: Returns, 24 Patterson Brook Rd, West Wareham, MA 02576.
  • Choose a shipping vendor that provides Tracking Information for your package.
  • Once we receive your package, it generally takes 2 weeks to process returns, exchanges, or credits.
